Visions With Jecks

• August 2nd, 2007

Visions with Jecks

I see, there beneath the oak a willowed girl Transcended through dark to a gleaming point

She breathes in the air of nether shadows Daughter to naught but without pain

Obscurities abound, layered and once silent No more shall shackled depths be still

Caught within the sinking sands then lost In myself, I find unbidden, sheltered strength

Drawn from distant emystar to deepest blowfish She of arden eyes smote by happiness

Unfettered winds cast breezy fingers Tickling golden strands of this scarecrow man

With a stitch bearing one threaded needle Dancing, twirling, to fawn a fielding key

To this clinging a last drop of cloudburst liquid Sunshine sparkling in cryptic, crystal depths

While night, the lair of wolves and vampires Queen and phantom of the darkness, it shall be

Shadowless gray mirror filled and haunted Scorpions chasing ever vigilant pixies

Windowless eyes gleaming brightly from a dead head Poet and musician huddled shushed beneath the artist

Desperately quiet spirit fed and love struck Hippie to a society of muted and dusty suits

Nazmythian! Timotheus Orpheus and Thor! Poetic gods timid of essentially none

Casting lots in Fionndruinne Forest and Rakerman skies Belted and chained locked into this eternal dreamer

Mixed in a brew, filtered, wet and moonlit Angel stirred and wizard wrought

Raising scattered remains vicious and wild Free flying high with holy baronhawk

Dark angel eyes watch me with whispered faith My eyes wrought with clear, heart spoken tears.

I am Jecks.

Lightning’s Lullaby

• June 12th, 2007

Lightning’s Lullaby

Tiny paws do cover eyes

As lighting flashes from the skies

Huddled close by mother’s side

Trying hard his shakes to hide.

Raging wind does wicked roar

Calling out for rain to pour

Ferocious storm of thunderclaps

Disturb the time when baby naps

“Settle down now little dear

Soon enough the sky will clear

Mother nature’s blessings pass

Helping grow the shrubs and grass.”

“Oh I wish it would leave soon!

I like the rain but not the boom.”

“Don’t you worry just you rest

We are safe down in our nest.”

Quietly now she hums a song

Little ears follow along

Soothing harmonies do mix

Howling storm and mothers fix

Drooping eyes despite the fears

Drowsy relaxation nears

Closing lids love reaching deep

Drifting on the winds to sleep.

Caught Within The Song

• May 17th, 2007

I heard a song the other day.

Something about it seemed wrong.

Then, without realizing it,

It was right, more than right.

The wrongness was just a prelude

To help make it complete.

I wondered,

Where does this lead?

Is it like life?

Are there so many more examples?

You hear about people’s lives turning around

On the TV all the time.

It’s just TV.

You see it on the news,

Read about real people,

But they are not me.

I cannot feel their completeness.

But the song…

I love that song.

It’s like a part of me

Because it is, I can feel it.

I see it now…

How something can seem wrong

But be a reason, a need

For what follows the change up

Now I know it can become true

To my relationships

To my life

To now, feel so wrong

But know that someday,

I, …I will be complete.

I love that song…

The Soaring of Butterflies

• May 17th, 2007

Walking, wrapped within my own world Often looking where I shouldn’t Hence, blind to where I shouldOccasionally stopping to bend Inhaling sweet fragrances Mind soothing, each content momentBrought to unavoidable changes in the road Surprise is not a proper defense But quick enough to jump in

All too soon, there’s a shattering The resulting turmoil unbearable While vast amounts of time creep slowly

Finally, finally from within Still wrapped in a cocoon of raucous muck That which has great potential, shimmers

Though not completely formed, it does exist Fleeting images of higher truisms Glimpses of what rises above the down below

Knowing one day that the soaring of butterflies Already thrilling, is so much sweeter When holding the memory of just crawling

Even as I now falter, strength grows Confusion just beginning to depart Truly, for me, nothing will ever be the same.

The Moon Endures

• May 12th, 2007

Silence lay upon the ears Yet through the eyes it speaks Shedding words in voiceless cries With soft caressing shrieksAll around intrinsic glow May seem to wax and wane Not always seen but ever there Unfettered rays remain

Glassy pains won’t hold it back With hallowed peace it seeps Accept its warmth or heed it not With patient care it keeps

While roses fade and wither wilt This like the moon endures Undying strength unbridled hope Its gentleness assures

When looking into nighttime skies Eyes drawn to moon above Let it remind you every time Of my enduring love
